So I'm 16, I have my license, and I'm car-less this is a problem as it means I have to take my mom's car every where and that's just no good.

So do any of you have suggestions on a good first car? I have around $6,000 to spend, it needs to have generally good gas mileage (20 mpg city+), and it really should be good looking. To avoid spam don't just post a car make here but give me some basic stats and tell me why you think it would make a good car por favor.

Well, if you have 6,000 dollars, chances are your not worried about the cost of insurance are you? For that price you could get a 1995-9 corvette or a car of the like. Like I said though. Insurance will be alot on a nice car for a 16 year old driver.

$6,000? Not exactly a lot, so forget modern cars.

I can't really tell you. The only ones you would be able to find in that price range are used, and those vary car to car.
