Hmm, I notice a lot of people have a wrong ide about "the holocaust" Hmmm...
You see, the hate versus Jews, Romani people, Homosexuals etc. was there LONG before Hitler and the Nazi's.
You see, what i think happened: One day, a person called A. Hitler woke up, realised: "Hey, there's so much hate in the world against these people. But it's some kind of.. Taboo, what about creating a Party starring racism, hate, and the plan to wipe all of these impurities from earth."
And that's exactly what he did (well, he didn't launch it He became member of the DAP (deutsche arbeiterpartei = german labour party, as in the normal, working man) and he helped it grow out to NSDAP (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei).
This party became very powerful, and hitler became one of the impourtant persons in it.
Basically what he did: he turned the hate of the people into his own power. That's pretty spiffy isn't it, he wasn't a hero or something, he didn't save some women out of a house, he just badmouthed all Jews, Homosexuals etc, and because, the people agreed with him before he even came on stage, he got them right with him.
You make it sound like all Hitler did was be racist. He was actually a rather good leader, aside from the Holocaust, creating the autobahn, destroying Germany's large war debt, and a few other things.
He also used German's debt problem, much caused by WWI, and good speaking skills.
What is the point of this thread? I can not see much room for debate...
Indeed, you're right, i made it sound like all he did was racistic, but i was trying to prove the contrary... Oh well, that being said, You must all have heard "hitler was a jew himself" some time, if you're busy with things like that, i've read it a few times, but i really can't believe that...
I fancy the man who hates and does nothing about it more than the man who hates and does something about it.
Hitler was a great politician, horrible Commander in Chief. He managed to get the entire nation behind a war that was fruitless since the very beginning. That's what politicians do.
Hitler's parents were CATHOLIC, so it made it ironic that Hitler persecuted Catholics. He had no relation to being a Jew.
I don't see why you're posting a different view of Hitler's motives too begin the Holocaust. To educate people on a matter that isn't openly accepted? Good luck!
Racism... what is it? Are Humans themselves not a race as a whole? then why hate on your own race? So racism is a damned existence, hypocritical of its own meaning.

The Nazis didn't create the autobahn... And the nature of the Nazi party and Hitler's actions were much all targeted with his idea of the supremacy of the Aryan race. His whole time in office focused on such fascist policies.
He singled out Jews, Homosexuals, communists, and other "enemies of the state" directly by making them wear ID cards. They banned Jews from participating in the Olympics. They raided Jew's buisnesseses. The SA continuously attacked communists on the street. They spurred racial messages in the newspaper and other forms of media...etc
These policies were in place all throughout Hitler's time in office.

Humans are a species, and a race is considered to just be sort of a culture or group of people different then our own within the species.
As for Hitler, he may have had some great ideas, yea. But he also had some really, really bad ones. So people will usually remember the bad rather than the good, which I believe is fair as the negatives really outweigh the positives in his case.
