Don't know how many of you woke up early today to watch Switzerland vs. Spain today, but if you did you were probably as shocked as me when the Swiss won!!
For those who don't watch soccer Spain is in 1st place in the rankings, whereas Switzerland is not a very good team(they have never won against Spain in an international setting ever before).
I am Swiss on my Grandma's side, and I know I'll be cheering them on the rest of the way!
When I saw the title, I thought it would be in Swiss German or something...
I watched a bit of the game (It was 10:30 AM for us) and the first thing I thought was 'Wow, the Swiss are really good. REALLY good.'. I missed the goal, but I saw the replay of it.
Dude, that was a heck of a goal: Really dirty (Not fouling though), the goalkeeper messed up, the runner didn't know where the ball was, a defender was standing in the net, and a Swiss player just manages to find the ball in time to shoot a pretty goal.
I cheer for the Swiss and they're deserved win, but my stakes are on Germany (Deutschland vor, noch ein tor!).
