they are horrible priced high and dont live up to my expectations for moving i would rather play a very frustrating gamecube game then run down the street yelling about it than st playing a game where you just press buttons andmove your wrist 2 inches who has
Yeah studies prove that the Wii doesn't make you lose weight or get you active. Sure it can help older people with things like arthritis because there moving around more, but other then that the Wii is just as bad as an Xbox or PS3.
It depends on the game. Some games I couldn't complete because I didn't have enough arm muscle to move the controls about for long enough, others I could sit down in my chair and play it like I would a PC or 360 game. You can't say that overall the Wii does not make you active - it entirely depends on the game you buy. Accusing the games that don't make you move, fine, but accusing the console itself? That's daft.
That is also an argument to AboutAPlaneCrash, who they asked when the test was conducted could vary from people who play things like Wii Fit (and I've seen results in friends and family - that does have quite an effect) to people who play games that don't require any activity. Some people may have bought a Wii and then never played it after the first week (which is a common situation) so we can't, once again, blame the system until we have information on the game.
in some games you might as well use a gamecube controler some games are just using the wii-mote as a pointer= not much excercice, but most wii sports like boxing and kendo do make you tired very fast. Wii balance board games don't train your balance, you will only get better in the games itself.
It's still more active then other consoles, all game consoles are overpriced because we the consumers are stupid enough to keep buying them. and overal its a great console with much variety of gameplay, there must be some reason why PS3 riped-off the system!
