- Edit Button: I desperately need this. I hate double posting, it feels as if I'm getting posts I don't deserve.

- Forums Search Button: I hate going to that Google Custom Search shit for a thread that might also be in Kongregate.

- Advice and Help forum: Most of the AG users are teenagers. Teenagers have problems. What better way to solve their problems is to ask for advice from older teenagers who care about their fellow peer or friend.

- Message Quote: I hate when people quote messages and I don't know who they're from.
- More BB Codes: I like different sizes and fonts. I also would appreciate some

BB Codes if you don't have them.

- Organize Some Stickes: Don't AdBlock? I mean come on. How about a thread about what flaming, trolling, and spamming is for the newbs to the intraweb. Or about the banning system. Maybe some thread that lists all the Moderators (I've looked everywhere,).

I don't demand they be met. Just putting them out there for people to review and decide which would be convenient and faster.

Hm. I realize most of them have already been suggested, but why not add comfort?

Comfort can be afforded, when the necessary has been worked out. There are a whole lot of things that needs to be worked over or changed completely before things as comfort should be taken up.

More dramatic than Zophia said: Oh God, please, no!! Fonts and sizes has a tendency of ruining the flow when you are reading. Especially when people decide they need to test all the fonts in one post. Every time they post. There are reasons why stuff like reports, news papers and AG has the same font all over.
As for spoiler tags (and code tags), I would say they are at least somewhat needed. The code one has been requested forever, and for the sake of people's sanity, I hope it gets here.

- Organize Some Stickes:

It is happening right now.

Don't AdBlock? I mean come on.

Obviously necessary, since complaints about ads keep popping up.

How about a thread about what flaming, trolling, and spamming is for the newbs to the intraweb.

Been there, done that.
Considering it is not a big problem, if a problem at all (in the forums), it will not get a thread by itself. However, it will be mentioned in the new stickies.

Or about the banning system

1. We would like to keep the mod-functions somewhat secret. Otherwise it is no fun being a mod.
2. There is not much to say about the banning system. Each mod is a different and is so and so tolerant. There is no real system to how long something will give you. It depends entirely on the mod, whether he or she has a good day, and how much you have been bugging them. How bad it is, how much you have done it, and how many warnings you have ignored is considered too, but a good day can be the difference between a 7 day ban and a stern warning and 3 days of ban.

Maybe some thread that lists all the Moderators (I've looked everywhere,).

As Zophia said: Try again. It is to be found multiple places, even.

If you have an edit button, you should have a delete button. Deleting a message is part of editing a message, since it changes that fact it's not there.

I will disagree with this. To edit something is to alter the content of it. To delete it is to move any trace of the content.
Being able to delete your own posts in the forum would/could lead to some nasty cases of idiots exploiting the function, and we don't want idiots exploiting function on this site.
I do however agree we need an editing function, as long as it does not interfere with our job as moderators. This basically means that the post should state what has been edited and when, so that cases of idiot and moron can be deleted entirely and the user punished.

*Idiots and morons: People who break the rules, and will cover it up because it will give them more time to break the rules.

I see your point, but how would it be abused? Besides, if idiots who flame delete their posts, then the harm is gone again. It's the same thing with editing. If they break the rules and edit it, then isn't that also abusing?

Yes, the flame will be be gone, and the user will still be about to flame even further as long as he stays out of sight of a moderator.
We cannot do, or rather, should not do anything as long as there is not evidence of any rules being broken. This means that is an individual goes about and flames and trolls, but only keep the message up for long enough to have people react on it, then they delete it, we should not ban them, because there is no evidence of them flaming and trolling, besides other people quoting them, which could easily be fabricated.
A bit like calling someone an idiot, and then say you didn't mean it. It doesn't mean you didn't say it.

Same goes with editing. If you are able to edit out the flames, and edit them in again whenever you want, it is just making this job a lot more annoying to deal with.

It might sound like petty complaints, and something that shouldn't be something to complain about, but we are a tiny team of moderators, and when the users are unable to follow the rules with the functions they have, what would keep them from abusing other functions because they can.

I do think we should get an editing function (even mods make mistakes), but we should also be able to have a knowledge of the edits performed, whether it is by having the edit in a new line, or a history of edits or whatever.

But how about you have 5-10 minutes to edit it before it becomes not editable.

Maybe we should be allowed to upload our own image if we don't want to use an armatar.

That will most likely never happen, due to the fact that some people could post inappropriate content through their avatars (i.e. violence, pornography, etc.)

Post still goes. 2 minutes is enough to make people angry. 5 minutes is a lot of time to make people angry, especially in active threads. And as long as you go edit the post before the time limit, you have pissed off a lot of people, and the mods basically can't hurt you.

Maybe we should be allowed to upload our own image if we don't want to use an armatar.

Maybe we shouldn't.

If you read over what you type, you might not need to double post more often.

I agree, but adding only a search function for the Support Section would have more affect than having a search function on the whole forums. Either way, suggestions can go so far.

I agree. It will never happen because of violence and Mature content, but maybe they could get a bigger selection of armatar? Wouldn't that be easier than making sure everyone had an approprite picture.

Excuse my attempt at making this forum a little better. I'm new here and I didn't know that people liked change.
