I will appologize up front if this is repeat thread. I am sorry. I realize that this could go into the World Politics section, but I thought that it was a better choice to put it into the Media section.
I have recently realized just how big a thing social networking is to the USA and the rest of the world. I am afraid that sometime in the ver near future, your job may depend on if you have a cell phone, a Twitter, or Facebook page, and coluntless other things that further social networking. I was wondering if others of you had the same fears or if you think that the world will never come to that. If you think the later, I dearly hope that you are right.
I LOVE FACEBOOK i do not think your job in the future will depend on having a facebook or twitter page, but a cell phone will probably be a good thing to have for some jobs... but most people who are old enough to have a job have a cell phone anyway
I think so. I think this might happen, but for jobs involving sewage and garbage disposal wouldn't need it. Many careers would require a Twitter or FaceBook page. Yes, it is possible, but I don't think that would be a problem.
I like Facebook and that's it. Twitter and Myspace suck.

I doubt a job would depend on social networking . Social Networking is for catching up with friends , making new friends and to kill time . I don't think jobs would depend on Social Networking.
I sincerely doubt that it would come to anything like that; I don't think your employer wants to know everything about you in their respective News Feed and whatnot. However, the increase in these types of communication are really just people Cyber-stalking others. :P

I doubt a thirteen year old kid would know that companies have FaceBook pages and some companies' employees are encouraged to use Social Networking sites to keep up-to-date on any company changes. This is usually for employees who work at home.
I guess, that you could live two-thirds of your entire life at home if you don't have to go to work.
I really dont like facebook i know armor games is a social networking site but on here you dont show off all the time like with pictures and how many friends you have.
well You Tube is also considered social networking, and youtube is the one i prefer. Probably just because im used to it the most, there are alot of douches on youtube though :/ people who leave rude and false responses on your videos or to your comments you make on videos.
In Cyprus, where i am currently living because it's a second world country still, ALL businesses, newly formed or who have a name USE facebook as a free way to advertise. Not only that, sadly enough IT WORKS.
I use facebook to keep in touch with friends an relatives back in England, apart from that, i have no need for it, i don't believe you will NEED it to get a job tho.
I can't see someone going to Donald trump for a job, and him asking:
"Hey, Do you have Twitter?" "Errr, No Sorry, Whats Twitter?" "YOU'RE FIRED!"
=/ very unlikely but the future is a scary one, and only fate controls it for us.
