It was Christmas day. We were all in the living room, me and my sister were opening presents, and my parents were sitting on the couch. Yes. That's it. Nothing more. It just felt like a great moment, with our family all sitting down, laughing. (cant remember why...? lol) This thread is for you to tell about your favorite, and special family moments.
My cousins were playing Mario and Sonic the Olympic Games on the Wii. My cousin, lost to his other little cousin. And my other cousins, who are older than me, he's 18, and one 17. Were laughing at my cousin. I was laughing to. So, my little cousin, about 10, went berserk and tackled my 17 year old cousin down...And my other cousin who is 20 told my little cousin to stop (the 10 year old one). And he stopped...When he my little cousin tackled my older cousin, he put the Wii remote down so I took it. =D
Yes. That's it. Nothing more. It just felt like a great moment,
Yeah it's those little moments that count.
My grandfather had gone into the hospital. I can't remember what for exactly, but it effected his mind accelerating his decline with dementia. I was watching him because he was claustrophobic and was getting agitated being in the hospital and the nurses couldn't keep an eye on him all night and would have strapped him down otherwise.
Well to keep him from becoming to agitated we had wheeled him into the hallway and the nurses station was right outside the door. So while we sat there some of the nurses started talking to him, since the family had been in and out all day they asked how many kids he had. He wasn't able to answer so i replied for him telling the nurse that eh had seven kids. She repeated the number to my grandfather. "You have seven children? Wow you've been busy! "My grandfather coming into a bit of clarity at that moment replied. "It was all my wife's fault."
I've always liked my grandfather's sense of humor and have tried to carry it on.
I have a weird family. Nothing is really sacred, so it ends up the worse things end up being remembered and the good things not.
Like the time I ate some apple sauce that was made including one bad apple. That I made under instructions from my grandma (I don't remember what they were, so don't ask). Anyways, needless to say I was the only one who was going to eat it, and I get sick off of the bad apple.
And off to the ER I go.
That will be remembered forever. Or at least until I get whacked on the head hard enough for me to forget, and with my luck that would be remembered for everyone but me. >.>
