Am i the only one who feels this way? Having a forum on a gaming website doesn't always make sense to me. I come to Armor Games to get away from the real world, but then the forum brings me back down to earth. I'm not saying that i don't ever like the forum. I sometimes get on Armor Games just to use the forum, but I don't really use it all that much. I feel like a gaming website is for games. On the other hand i like how there is such a great community and how there are so many helpful users. I'm not really sure weather i like the forum or not, but i like the community and games for sure. What are your opinions on the forum and on the site in general?
I agree with the both of you. Kong was made for people to play games on it, interact, earn achievements and mingle. Compared to AG, which is first and foremost a flash game portal and a publisher/developer of games.
My personal opinion would be that Kong's forums aren't too complicated at all. AG is just simpler. The use of Textile for formatting confused me for a while, but it's alright.
I just think the community itself over there is foreboding.
Can't compare it to anything, don't go on other forums.. But I know lots of them have signature things at the bottom of each of your posts, I'm glad AG doesn't have that. And all the dates, post count, picture, rank etc is all neatly in 1 little box, then the post is just the post, nothing else on it.
