i dont know about you guys but i like listening to music while i play games. That gets kinda hard when every game has music playing. Must games have a mute button but not all games. I think all games should be strongly pressured or forced to have one before they get a spot from now on. Leave the games how they are but the new ones gotta have it.
Just do what Orion said. Turn off the speakers, get your MP3 player or anything portable digital music player you have lying around there and voila. AG can't really force every developer who submits games to the site to put in mute buttons. Though all good devs should remember to put that it.
windows 7 and vista have mixer very helpful. How do you post screen shots because it says you have to have a url with it? there are acouple others dont know name thouhg that have mixer
Problem here is that it does not appear to be a widely desired thing, so it is unlikely that AG would start forcing any and all game contributors to include a mute function in their games. This is why people in this thread are suggesting ways for you to get rid of the annoyance without having to change what needs to be in ALL future games submitted to AG.
I don't have an MP3 player either, and I don't know of a way to mute a program. If a game I want to play doesn't have a mute button, I either listen to its music or to nothing. If I really want to listen to music, I play games that have mute buttons. It's not really all that inconvenient...
I don't think your suggestion is bad at all, being able to mute a game is great. Just doubting it's a practical submission rule addition.
