you guys obviously have not heard of their original stuff. red album was ok, raditude just sucked. listen to the blue album, possibly the greatest single album of all time. Say it Ain't So is my favorite song of all time, right next to Only in Dreams and Undone. but every song on that album is pure awesomeness. also, Island in the Sun from the green album. i dont kno what happened to them, they just started t suck lately, which hurts to say cuz they're one of my fav bands
Me? How could I forget about Buddy Holly, Say It Ain't So, Perfect Situation, Island in the Sun, Pork and Beans, Hash Pipe, and We're All on Drugs.
Raditude had the bonus song {If You're Wondering If I Want To) I want You To. I'm Your Daddy is just awesome. Make Believe didn't have many good songs either. Just Perfect Situation, and even that wasn't so good. People thought that was the end of Weezer, too, but was it? No.
My favorite is probably this version of In The Garage. Second to that is probably Say It Ain't So and after that Holiday.
They're a great band. They cranked out great stuff in the 90's, and they've still been rocking in the new millenium. I hope Rivers keeps writing tunes for a while.
yay real weezy fans i think that rivers should bring back the bowl cut, maybe the hair holds the power to awesome geek rock lol. i think that they've merged from geek rock to pop/alternative, which is why old weezer fans are getting disappointed (not by all songs, but way too many) and tweens are screaming their heads off for them. actually, i will admit that i did like "i want you to" and "story of my life" the latter sound a lot like old weezer. cant stop partying almost made me cry tho. lil wayne??? really???
Holiday is soo catchy. I've never heard of In The Garage, though. Rivers looks badass with that moustache, a bowl cut with a moustache doesn't work. His hair is fine as it is. Besides, Geek Rock has always been Alternative. Besides, bands always change their genre if you think they are straying away from Geek Rock. You know River's is 40 year's old, right? He has a kid, I think.
Weezer is badass and their are 35+. I didn't hear Weezer mentioning Lil Wayne, though. I guess if you really listen to the lyrics, you can hear it, but you wouldn't hear it if you were just listening.
I have every single album and have seen them twice in concert. They are one of my favorite bands and they have so many great songs but for some reason "Say It Ain't So" really speaks to me and reminds me of some good times in high school. I love River's voice in that song especially.
