I think the hype was mostly because of the first one and that krin was the one behind. most of his games are pretty good and most people seem to like them. Personally both sonnys were fun beating it once but doing it over and over again would bore me. Just my opion though.

Now here you are flaming because you cannot reason your way out of it. I never said you implied it was lame, I said your action of stating it being boring is lame. Would you mind trying to understand my post correctly before replying. Also, me being the only one against you doesn't make me wrong, so your statement proves nothing. And I didn't tell you "nobody" cared, apparently there are people in the world who do care about these worthless complains, but there are also people like me who don't.

So, you cannot say that I cannot speak for the "We". However, that's not the point, the point is, starting a thread just to tell people you think a certain game is boring is just lame, create a topic with more content if you don't mind.

True. Since it's sort of the same. It is still a great game.
I defintly will play the third though. If multiplayer is added probably will keep playing. Levels would probably have to be automaticly kept at same level, maybe thrity, so vets dont smash noobs with level 40s against level 1s.
I think it would be quite hard to implement a multiplayer system in a rpg game, but it's nevertheless possible. I will definitely play the third one too, the two sonnys are apparently the most popular flash rpg games on the web right now.

What's the hype about, though? I still didn't get my answer. Is it the story like firetail claimed? Besides, what's with the story? Like, what happens?
The storyline can be confusing, so here's my understanding of it after playing it through numerous times. If I misunderstood anything or made any errors, please correct me.
There are many mysteries in the plot that Krin wouldn't give out so easily, he likes to have us dangling. In general, the story is that the protagonist is killed on a boat for whatever reasons, and he is mysteriously revived as a zombie(might have something to do with the Louis dude), Louis finds the protagonist and names him Sonny. To survive, Sonny fought some other zombies on the ship until the ZPCI, a government agency dedicated to kill zombies arrived. They kill Louis for reasons not yet understood. Sonny killed them and took off in a life boat. Louis gave him a mysterious tape before dying. Sonny landed on a ghostly beach and fought some ghost samurais and assassins. The ZPCI followed him there, Sonny met another talking zombie called Veradux who stole a medic suit from the ZPCI. Sonny helped Veradux to fend of the ZPCI and Veradux decided to follow Sonny until death. After they left the beach they went a village filled with Shamans who got mad at them and sent many people to kill them. Baron Bariux(or whatever his name is) is doing something with a bunch of zombies and the ZPCI tried to stop them by sending a cool paladin dude. Sonny and Veradux killed the reinforcement sent to help the Paladin to fight the Baron, they end up having to pretend to be the reinforcement to have the Paladin help them defeat the Baron. After the Baron is defeated, they killed the Paladin so he has no chance to turn on them. That's the end of Sonny 1. Sonny 2 starts with Sonny wondering around trying to find a tape player to player the tape. A female zombie named Felicity appears and stole the tape, she escaped into a twisted prison in which the scientists are doing experiments on the prisoners. Sonny and Veradux followed Felicity, fighting many prison guards. They eventually caught up with Felicity, Veradux took out her car with an electro-bolt. They fought Felicity, nearly defeating her, she threw her knife at Veradux and threw the tape another way. Sonny jumped to catch the tape and Felicity took an elevator carrying a mysterious body in her arms. After that they went to a frozen village where they met an insurgent named Roald. Roald agrees to help them find Utopia if they help him get rid of the local cult who are sacrificing innocent people for their rituals. The cult leader turns out to be the Baron Bariux(whatever his name is) in the first game. They killed the Baron again, and met Captain Hunt's team( a ZPCI unit). They defeated the Captain's team and escaped into an underground train. They met some spectres in the train with a magician called Clemons the deceiver as the boss. After that, the train crushed into something and stopped from what I understand. Some weird substance in the tunnel made Sonny's team fall into a series of illusions. After fighting the most bizzare monsters(illusions) in the game, the team met a group of workers who took them to a city. They met Felicity again and she joined their team. After that they helped the citizens to get rid of the mayor of the city and Felicity told them some secrets about the ZPCI that I probably don't want to spoil for you. After that they went the supreme court and start fighting some rough defences. After defeating the judge it's the end of Sonny 2. There are many loose ends and mysteries in the game that no one can really explain, like the body Felicity carries in the first zone, the sulfurous smelling blood trail that followed sonny's team everywhere, and the true meaning of the tape. Sonny 3 will hopefully reveal some of these mysteries, so I will definitely play it.
Bah, I've already finished the game so I'm fine. And yes the story is complicated obviously with those mysteries. Like the tape one. I didn't get it...I do also hope that Sonny 3 will reveal those mysteries.
Nope. Okay, maybe some what, but that's only because most enemies are the exact same size and humanoid, it's refreshing to have the bunnies and monkeys and hounds occasionally, but I think the enemy variety can use some boost.
