100k dollars a year from now.

Yes, I can be patient if necessary.

Hm; I think I may actually use something I learned in health class.

How the average person decides in a situation like this.

1. Amount (100,000 is clearly better than 50,000)
2. Time (Now is better then a year from now)
3. Probability (Both have a 100% chance so a tie here)

Well that ends up with me having to decide if time or amount is more important and I choose amount. I'd take the $100,000 in a year.

100k later, cause I've gone this long without it, why not wait another year.

50k now. Why? Because 100k a year from now is just that: a year from now. For all you know you could win a 100m lottery and that 100k would be useless, rather than having 50k now when it's worth something.

Or you could die. You could go to prison. Anything of that nature could prevent it from being worth anything.

50000 now. Certain money are certain, possible future money are possible.

Well put goumas13, i agree, 50k now, i could do a lot with it now. yes, i could do mor ewith 100k, but thats a year from now. :\\ lol dont like that, im not patient.

I am not that patient either, so I get the money now.

50,000 now, I'm very impatient and I would invest some of it so I would make more than 100,000 eventually.

I would go with the 100k a year form now. I can wait for more money.

Let's split half/half, I'll take the 50,000 now, then after the mission's done, I'm comin back for my 100k.

i would wait the year for 100,000 every year. I would actually wait 50 years for 10million if life wasnt so short.

my dad works at a bank... i would ask him first.

but it IS up to me so i would go with 100K. 2x as much money. why not take it? who cares about the wait.

100k in a year definitely. I can wait for the money, plus that gives me a ton of money to spend in college.
