So i was looking through my email today, and harmonix sent me message with a link to there new product rock band 3. I sorta felt happy with it because... well ill save it to the end haha.
So first and foremost, they revamped the whole thing. The character customization is way greater, and throughout the main screen, you get to see the characters you made walk around, board planes, trains, etc.... So it sorta makes you feel like your in the game.. If that kinda makes sense. Also its not just one kind of gamemode. Through out the whole thing, the game is keeping track of your players stats, even on multiplayer, allowing it to show how much you've grown as someone on the guitar/bass/drums etc...
Second off, they have now incorporated the three vocals (lead and 2 back ups) into this game. So if you liked that feature from the beatles, they also have it on rb3.
Third, they now have a keyboard instrument. Personally i think this looks pretty cool, as well, it increases the maximum amount of players to 7. (3 vocals, 1 guitar, 1 bass, 1 drummer, 1 keyboard.)
Fourth, and the ultimate thing i found so great about this game. Pro mode. This is for you guitarists out there that are looking to play real guitar on rock band. Harmonix and stratocaster are teaming up to create a real life, real stratocaster designed not only for this game, but also to plug into an actual amp and be able to real legit guitar with. (im too stoked about this). And you have to play the correct fret, with the correct strum and everything. So finally rock band has incorporated playing legit guitar into there game. From what i've scene (the trailer) it looks right on and properly made. Including bends, slides, hammerons and pulloffs, etc....
So im just asking what all you rock band fenatics think about this upcoming title... Or i suppose any other gamer
i like guitar hero better. rock band doesn't seem very good to me
Are you feeling okay? Maybe you should lie down. Oh, wait... I know what it is. You're actually more entertained by cheap low standards just because they have poppy crap music and come out with games faster.
Pro guitar mode sounds insanely awesome... And insanely expensive. But all the other stuff is really cool! I thought for a while what a "Keyboard Hero" would be like. RB3 looks so cool. I can't wait.

Now the only guitar hero that was actually decent was GH3. That is a fact. Every other one ever made sucked horribly, and should be thrown out. Anyways @ peek
The only part im disappointed about with this is that the stratocaster guitar probably wont come with the starting rb3 kit. Im guessing it will end up being a drumset, one mic, one guitar (regular one), and the keyboard. The stratocaster will be sold seperately and probably costing about 200-400 bucks because its a legit guitar. =/. O well, guitar heros even more screwed after RB3
