I have been boiling this assumption in the kettle that we call my overly-insulting brain for quite some time now. There seems to be a new breed of pop-zombies out there that worship the ground that Glee has peed on. What I mean is Glee has taken some of the best songs I know and made them into something they are not. A great example would be Loser by Beck Hansen. Now, it may just be because I have a special spot in my iTunes library for Beck, but in my opinion, Beck is now "loved" by millions more people, just because of that song. Most of these people would have said that Beck was terrible before Glee, would any of you disagree? I'm trying to say that there were all these songs that people had no clue about and if they had heard or heard about them they would have said that those songs weren't good or they weren't popular. Now because of Glee, all these people think that they are fans of the artists. They only listen to the Glee version! Most of who I've talked to said they didn't even go back and listen to any of the other artists' songs, LET ALONE the original! What are your opinions on all of this? Do you think Glee is a gateway for people to find new music, or poser-propaganda?
