Those are illegal.

General music that you don't pay for falls under the umbrella of piracy.

Like what?

You're not getting Death Magnetic anywhere for free that's legal. Anything that doesn't fall under a general distribution license and isn't freeware, is illegal to own without money exchanging hands.

Doesn't make it any less illegal.

Which is why you shouldn't talk about it on AG.

Also, aced, those are internet radios. Those are different, and you can't actually download songs.

If you're looking for places to download things, I can't tell you. If you want a radio to listen to on your computer, just use AOL Radio.

Hah. The reason the sites like grooveshark aren't sued is because they don't offer a download of it.

It would be illegal for you if you downloaded it without buying, using a site like grooveshark is like listening to the song off of your friend's computer.

No, LimeWire is still up. Though really, even if the company that supports it becomes defunct, the gnutella network will still be intact. So there isn't much difference.

Alright. We know that..

1) This is illegal.
2) You won't be caught anyway.
3) It is illegal to give any hints or information which would enable one to conduct illegal activites.
4) There is no use asking here.

So, I suggest you don't ever bring up that you want or are going to download files through illegal means here. You should be knowledgeable to find information for yourself.

blah blah etc. etc. what needs to be said has already needed to be safe. There are just a couple of notes:

2) You won't be caught anyway.

Nobody can guarantee this.

The deciding factor in the OP is the use of the word "safe". If they had said "legal" it would have been a different matter, as there are sites out there on which music is distributed for free, as the artists have released it on public license.
