This is a bit of a forum game, but at the same time it has the capacity to result in a bit of poetry, so it goes here. I'm going to supply a line of poetry, and the following poster is to create a poem using the line I gave as their first. Along with their poem, they supply a line for the next person to write poetry on. No restrictions on the type of line or poetry; just keep the line open ended.

Here's the first line:

A mountain pokes out awkward in the mist

It was like a summer song
Sun-bathing
Hair bleached white
Birds singing
Then I stepped out of the tanning booth and took out my ear-buds.

The way she looked at me
as if I were some sort of filth
and the disgusted turn away
as if she cared nothing for my ilk

A few steps down the road,
Warm brilliance behold,
Smiling faces and gentle waves,
Her skin was milky white and hair of gold,
If not her, then whom?
If not me, then who?
Affectionate wind that outlines her body;
Seemingly frivolous droplets of dew,
Evanescent,
Yet much needed,
Never relinquishing her sapphire eyes,
Thus cold hearts concede,
And all the more l'amore,
Keeping pristine until snowed,
For wonderment will always be, at least,
A few steps down the road.

The first line to poetry,
like a seed to grow a tree,
from simple roots, simple words,
grow to hold up thoughts and birds.
from the ground into the sky,
go earthy things held up high.
like water to start this tree,
each line aft is artistry.

You beautiful you
Who caught my heart so quickly.
You helped through everything
Even though you didnt know that
Thank you, for being so beautiful.

I cant believe this

I can't believe this.
Now you're gone, and what
beauty is there for
me to see in a
world with only a
tombstone in your name?

What made up your mind
I was halfway there
You said give it chance
But I never knew where

To ask if you really meant when you said
You were leaving for real, you were shedding
Your skin

Good thing i can call my heart home
Because mine is the one that would house me
The only place that does house me

Im a nomad,
A traveler,
A wanderer.
A home i do not own
But my heart counts enough to keep me safe from all harm.

I didnt throw the first punch, i swear
It was the bully by the park
I promise you no mistakes
But that is why the

The magic cloak of doom,
A fabric panda in the room,
Apron of a meth cook
Hanging on my brass hook

She gave me so much delight.
Showing up at the peak of the swim.
Just so i could show off.

Her dazzling smile brightened me as the energy re-flooded back into me.
And i got first!

Dont make me do THIS!
A poem that doesn't rhyme
Stereotype poems do confuse
To set up problems
Is this even a poem?

I'd better get points for originality,
originality, or style.
As my personal specialty,
is voodoo dolls that smile.

Not sure if that was the intended first line, but whatever.

Curse that .50
It was rather thrifty
I lost my credibility
And now I'm lost at 50
