This is a bit of a forum game, but at the same time it has the capacity to result in a bit of poetry, so it goes here. I'm going to supply a line of poetry, and the following poster is to create a poem using the line I gave as their first. Along with their poem, they supply a line for the next person to write poetry on. No restrictions on the type of line or poetry; just keep the line open ended.
I always lied to you And never felt bad You kept coming back And that made me so mad. I never gave you a reason to love me I always hated that you stayed I wanted you to go So I could be alone I hurt you too much The last time around When I realized I loved you And you couldn't forgive me Because I broke your heart too many times before You couldn't seem to find it in you To let someone in So I saw you shut your heart down And store all emotions beneath the skin. So this is a goodbye To all of my family and friends I just want all of this to end.
It's a bloody business! Signing papers, nothing more. It's a bloody business! There's nothing to abhor. It's a bloody business! People do it every day. It's a bloody business! We have to live some kind of way. It's just a bloody business. Said the spider to the fly. It's a bloody business, where good men go to die.
^ Too cliche, especially the end. Also, the tone is off and the pacing is awful. I don't like writing ones from Parsat's lines; I don't feel I'm doing them justice. Oh well, practice makes perfect.
