So I was trying to restart a failure that I created (I couldn't find it even with the forums search so...)
But this time instead of allowing people to choose their own subject to talk about, I think it would be better if one person chooses a good topic to discuss.(me =)
So this is how its going to work this time:
I choose a topic and for one week people can discuss the topic. If the discussion dies down quickly I will change it earlier. If the topic is still in high discussion after seven days, I will leave it for around 3 or more extra days.
So here is the first one for this week:

Read the article (possible watch the clip) and share your thoughts about it.

As I see no one really started discussing...
)= So in the link it talks about Nasa creating a new rover with a different types of wheels that supposedly are much better suited to travel rough terrain to find out more information about the parts of mars that the old rovers could not explore. (possibly find signs of life?)

Does someone still belive that there is life on mars? I thought that was a closed subject.

It has been proven that large life never existed on mars (no animals/plants/fungi) but micro organisms may have lived there at one point.

We have already found fossilized micro organisms in samples from Mars. We know that some form of simple life already did exist there at some point in time.

Hope this one works then; if not just go to Google Advance search and search only "armorgames.com/community" and viola custom search.

For the forum search just go to the Suggestions thread, it's been stickied.

As for the article, I'm not sure what I think, as an airborne pollutant and carcinogen it is dangerous, however since it's relatively small amounts I don't think it's that big of an issue. However it does need to be stopped.

ALH84001 (a meteorite) is about the largest piece of evidence indicating ancient life on Mars. The microbes are so incredibly tiny it's hard to study them and despite the media's claims that it was definitive proof of prehistoric extraterrestrial life, it was a controversial issue and a lot of people think that it's contaminated with terrestrial life/not life at all.

Carbonaceous stuff has been found in various other meteorites but nothing has definitively shown that life has existed on Mars.

I'm agreeing with Kyouzou, pumping carcinogens into the air is going to have bad results, but only in concentration. The factories do need to stop polluting the air because that will eventually start to have effects on the inhabitants and wildlife in the surrounding area.

One big point here is how they lied to residents in the area about the levels of hexavalent chromium in the air and/or the amount of it being dumped in the air over a period of time is a very good reason to take legal action. That's pretty terrible, lying to people who depend on these statistics to feel safe. :|

A little late (I know) but here is the next "installment" of ScienceWeekly!

Chokeberry Extract Found to Regulate Weight Gain, Blood Glucose, and Inflammation in Rats

ScienceDaily (Apr. 25, 2010) â" Chokeberry bushes have for centuries been residents of eastern deciduous forests where their bright red and dark purple fruits continue to be favorite snacks of local bird species. Native Americans have also traditionally eaten dried chokeberries and prepared teas from parts of the plant, and several domesticated varieties now grace contemporary lawns and gardens from coast to coast. However, the chokeberry (Aronia) is enjoying a new claim-to-fame as a potentially powerful antioxidant, and can now be found for sale in the dietary supplement and "health food" aisles of your local pharmacies and grocery stores.
