Dude, NONE of those bands are totally metal. Obviously they have metal influences, but BFMV is metalcore and all of those other three are nu metal.
Actually no..
The genre can differentiate from album to album or from time to time.. This is why I said Disturbed has a little heavy metal. Disturbed was Nu-Metal in their Early years.
If it varies they're not completely one full genre? Eh, no. Metallica changed immensely from 1980 to 1990, but everyone still considered them thrash metal, no? Hell, even now most people would consider them thrash metal.
But if you want to say that a band varies between genres, that's fine! But guess what: if it varies between two genres it means its a fusion of the two genres (I have yet to hear a band that is full-on one genre in one song then full-on another genre in the next). For example, BFMV is a metalcore band. They vary from metal to metalcore to post-hardcore emo shit/whatever. So they're not totally metal. They have metal INFLUENCES and they tread in that genre territory once in a while. But do they ever go full-on metal? Sometimes. But that doesn't make them a metal band, it makes them a metalcore band. Metalcore =/= metal.
Woah dude.. When did I say they were full on metal? All I was saying is that they vary and that's it. You're thinking about it way too much and going into too much thought for this.
