From what I'm seeing.. I don't even think it's rare.. Maybe uncommon to be cross-dominant. Even I'm cross-dominant, as well as a bunch of other people.
So yes, let's go with rare, and sorry if I sounded mean, because it wasn't my intent.
alright np

i think only the people who are cross dominant are taking an interest in this thread... except for me haha.
I don't really get why people need to be "unique", but hey, if this spawns an interesting discussion about cross-dominance, then I'm okay with that.
When I write, I'm left-handed. When I operate surgical instruments, I'm ambidextrous. When I look at things, my right eye is dominant. When I play sports, my right leg is stronger. As a result of this, when I breakdance, I favour my right arm.
However, I'm training my left leg and left arm to balance this out.
Did you know that 85% of left-handed people still have their language centres on the left side of their brain?

No. I guess this applies to me too.
I haven't observed my preferences much, but I'm sure I am heavily left-handed when it comes to almost everything. Eh, even the left arm feels stronger than my right.
I'm only cross dominant in certain things, i.e. carrying heavier things is much easier with my left arm however I'm right handed. I'm definitely right eye dominant.
I'm ambidextrous... hehe :3 But when I am playing softball, I am a righty. And when I am running, I favor my left leg. My left eye is dominant. Is there something wrong with me? o.o
You all know that hanging thing in the back of your mouth that stops food and water from entering your lunges? Yeah, I can touch that that little thingy with my tongue....lol. Well I think thats kinda unique, do you? And can someone else do that? (If someone can I will be amazed!)
Just means that you're cross-dominant, not ambidextrous.
I'm ambidextrous, in that while I usually use my right hand to write with, I'm equally proficient in writing with my left hand. I can use both equally for anything, though I often develop preferences(such as for writing, it's easier to write with my right hand just because paper is oriented for righteys).
