When an artist makes a song featuring anthoer artist does the featured artist (not the main artist)get a cut of the profits from the sales records?

I believe they would since they do some singing in it too.

They should. But the song Whatcha Say by Jason Derulo doesn't say that it features Emogene Heap. But it does. The actual song by E.H is pretty old, and J.D's musical people behind him messed with the beat and voice recording of the actual song. So they got away with taking part of their song.
I don't know if they asked for special permission or anything, but that is what it seems like.
