For those of us that watch or follow baseball, what did you think of the players that were picked?
Isn't it funny that Yadier Molina made the NL even though Miguel Olivo had the best numbers for a cacther? What about Red and Padres being in first and only getting one guy? Reds have Phillips and padres just Adrian Gonzalez.
Heres an article and full teams. NL snubs Nl and AL rosters Mr Joe did a better job of picking though Alex Rodriguez was having a sub par season and Youk should of replaced him. What do you think?
i think that all the players that made the team should be there but some of the best players in the league didnt even make the team... i was watching espn earlier and here was something that they were talking about... they said that every team should have at least one player... i find that to be crap and they also hit on the point that its what the fans want... well if thats true im sure there are a few big named players that didnt make the cut that fans would love to see like oh um the nats new phenom pitcher... thats what i have to say right now lol
In 90's and other decades thy've always picked at least one from each team, I think this year they did too. I just hate it when someone like Howard makes the team cause he had a good average, in that article Manuel said he had to choose Howard or Votto, and it was obvious he would pick his own then the NL leader in homeruns. Phillies though have many voters that rig the system, example Jimmy rollins last year. He didn't deserve it but fans pushed him in.
Joey Votto should of made it even though he probably still will he shouldn't need the final vote.
I can't believe there wasn't a Padres pitcher selected since the have the best era. Matt Latos is one of the best pitchers this year and might not make it.
Hey Cinna, the Los Angeles Dodgers have a better shot at winning the division than the San Francisco Giants. Anyway, this is only the third time in franchise history that the San Diego Padres are leading their division heading into the All-Star Break. The last two times they accomplished that feat, you ask? 1984 and 1998, the two years that they made it to the World Series. If they, in fact, do make the Fall Classic, unfortunately, it looks like a repeat of 1998, with the New York Yankees sweeping.
Yeah, Alex Rios is having a superb season. I was surprised he wasn't on the Final Player vote. If he was, I would've voted for him. Anyway, Joey Votto and Ryan Zimmerman are battling it out for final NL roster spot, and Nick Swisher and Kevin Youkilis are close in the AL race. There are only a few hours left, so vote for the one you think should make it (I voted for Heath Bell and Michael Young - go figure).
