The Golden Compass as a movie was a absolutely horrible. The original series of books (starting with the Golden Compass/Northern Lights) was actually a good read and the movie -- where it ended -- would indicate they're going to need multiple instalments just to tell the story of the book. :|

I've also played a lot of video games that turned out crap too. *Modern Warfare 2*. >.>

The 6th Harry Potter movie. They added some things that didn't happen in the book. (Ron's house burning down) They also left out some huge parts! The giant battle that happened at the end was something that I was looking forward to, and it never happened!!! They also left out many of the memories that Dumbledore showed Harry. That was a huge part of the book. Dumbledore was preparing Harry for when he would go and find the horcruxes by showing him these memories. They could have put more of them in the movie instead of playing up the whole love thing, which I though really killed the movie.

The album Act III by Death Angel. After listening to their Ultra Violence album I was very disappointed, but after a few more listens I learned to appreciate it.

Modern Warfare was disappointing can I get some modern zombie slaying please? I liked Avatar though. I'll bet Despicable Me is a disappointment; to hype something that really isn't that ground-breaking is just an invitation to fall flat on your face.

Avatar (the one with the blue people). I heard it was going to be great from everyone, but the story was actually pretty horrible. The only reason people thought it was good was because of the graphics. i though Avatar had to many environmental messages in it.

Why do so many people think that's funny?

I'd say the original 3 X-Men movies as well as Hugh Jackman's personally financed "Origins" movie. I understand that its hard to make a movie out of a series thats been developed over such a long expanse of time, but even on a visual level I feel that the movies weren't up to par. Remember Magneto's helmet? What a joke.

I've also completely lost interest in the new Batman movies since The Dark Knight. I watched that entire movie and can't even remember a single memorable thing in it. Heath Ledger did a good job at acting, but Christian Bale's Batman voice was completely over the top, and Maggie Gylaanhaal seemed completely out of place.
