So I guess I have know about this since the 6th grade but is it really acurate? I have looked at few things and they have more than actual words, but some of the things that they do have aren't real.
Just to give you an example go to the [url=http://www.urbandictionary.com/]site[/ur], and type in "Ms. devlin" exactly. Now this was my seventh grade english teacher but apparently someone didn't like her very well. I was never taken down but she really isn' like that.. anymore.

So what do you think about Urban Dictionary? I myself might use it once in awhile but not very often.

I agree with my brother , It's not that accurate . People do edit them and post them , I would also recommend dictionary.com.

Urban Dictionary is more for humor , jokes and fun. Not for facts.

I tend to use Mirriam-Webster's or several different university library sites that have excellent dictionary and thesaurus services.

Urban dictionary is a dictionary for slang...

That's correct, but even then many of the definitions offered aren't even close to the true meaning of the words. And many slang terms have different meanings depending on where you are from, or what context they are used in, so it's still not even accurate at that.

Many definitions aren't accurate, nonetheless is still useful some times, cause there aren't many slang word dictionaries.

Urban Dictionary is a user-created dictionary for slang and internet talk. Since the dictionary is maintained by people in general, you'd expect a lot of inaccuracies and crap entries. That's why there are "thumbs up and down" ratings for each definition.

Urban Dictionary is good if you want to search up slang, street lingo and web-related terms and acronyms. Yeah, there's a lot of humor injected into it too.

Anything more formal or serious, use a different dictionary.

If you're looking for the definition

ACTUALLY, and very unbelievably, somethings are accurate.

Lol, Kurt. Well, some good people actually do contribute to UD. The good definitions have plenty of positive votes for them.

Exactly.

I always find it helpful for internet lingo and slang.

Urban Dictionary is like Wikipedia, except shorter, having to do more with slang, drugs, and sex, and with dumber people authoring it.

Some things are actually accurate. Several times I increased my interwebz knowledge by going on UD, and for some reason I could waste hours on that site. Yeah, I'm weird. O_o

Not exactly, Wikipedia's very systematic despite all the idiots editing it often.

Heh, the definitions for my name, David, are funny.
