Teen drivers!!!!!!! OMGSH!! Lawl. Anyways seriously I'm going to be fifteen soon and the roads will no longer be safe. If you live in Alabama be aware that it is no longer safe for the next couple of months. So do not, I repeat, do not drive fpr the next couple of months, unless of course, you want to die. I am serious.

Anyways I was wondering around the country where you live, what is the legal age for a driver's permit?

I live in Missouri and here its 15 for a permit unless you were born in 1996 or later, then it's 15 1/2 (still 16 for license though)

Wow... Thanks for making me feel old. When I was getting my permit it was the mid 90's. And it was still 15 for a permit. Although I had a conditional permit when I was 12 because I grew up on a farm, so we got conditional farm permits so that we could use public roads if needed to get to different parts of the farm.

Your welcome, that's my job being young and all. And you could drive when you were 12 uh wow. I would not want to go anywhere near a farm with a 12 year old driving around in a truck?

Hmm, lucky everybody.
Too young to drive.
I can only hit the roads at 18...

Haha that sucks, I get my license in three months, or atleast I would be had I bothered to get my permit TT

In VA it's 15 and 6 months for a permit, and 16 and 3 months for your license.

Missouri ish indeed awesome. I've heard the stereotypes of hillbillies and rednecks here who do nothing but eat and get drunk. Back on topic. Fifteen year olds can drive (legally) if they have a permit and an adult is with them. They hit the roads alone at age sixteen.

Hahah, I started driving when I was 10. By the time I was 12 I was driving a truck, a tractor, quads, and dirtbikes.

You can get a permit when you're 14 here, a license when you're 16. You get a provisional for sixth months (no friends in the car), then you get a "real" license.

Oddly enough, I finally got my provisional off today. I could have gotten it off last november, but it seemed like too much of a bother.

I just kind of grew up driving. We always had quads or the trucks and had to move things around the fields or chase down the occasional cow that doesn't want to come back from pasture. I really didn't think much of it because everyone where I grew up had a farm, but when I got the city when I was 14 I realized just how rare that lifestyle is.

Alaska... I think the logic goes something like this:

Our roads suck. If people start driving earlier, maybe they won't die. (Or maybe you get a bunch of 14 year olds who can barely see over the steering wheel barreling down the highway)

So your roads suck, so they put a bunch of fourteen year olds behind the wheels of trucks, and it makes it so much better!! Lawl dead fourteen year olds on the frozen roads lawl.
