Imagine if we had every armator ever put on here, you'd see a lot of various ones.

What's the point of that? Why not just make them available all the time?
Because they're seasonal. It's just the concept.

So old seasonal armatars are coming back along with new ones?
Yup.

I was looking at the edited armatar exploit HTML page with all the armatars ever made on it and trust me, there were a lot. A lot.

There's none active currently. The summer one appears to be delayed.

Yep. And more comes every year...

Seriously, though, is there really a problem with them being seasonal?

not really but i think if you had more armatars that aren't seasonal then i think people wouldn't be complaining. but a competition where there is a theme that isn't seasonal would be nice and each month there is new theme and only one is picked each competition. so every year you get a 12 new armatars along with the seasonal ones.

true I think lots of people would not be complaining. I also like your idea for the competions but its more work for the AG staff. Also it gets hard to make armatars after a while after you have submitted almost everything possible. also after a while with so many armatars out there could it create lag for the website. I don't know but some things to be careful of.

well i have seen websites where they give certain people that have distinguished themselves they have been awarded a small position that isn't mod but a position that gives them no benefits other than the knowledge of everyone that he has done well and he has a responsibility. one of those was spam checker... a mod can do this but if a mod had a group of 20 people doing this job by removing spam than that might be a
load off for them. so if a member had the power to run one thread such as a thread of a competion than it would be great. maybe panel of 5 judges chosen by mods to analyse the work

Well not really seeing as how the seasonal armatars come from seasonal "competitions" I use quotations because its not really a competition, but really more of a filtering system. Carlie judges these every season and all of the ones she deems good enough become armatars for a certain period of time(the rest of the season typically), so it doesn't seem to add too much work that it can't happen. Also if these competitions continue(just got new permanent armatars and I haven't seen a Summer competition yet this year) then this upcoming Halloween would/will be the 2 year mark since the whole thing began.

I personally have no problem with waiting for an armatar to show up again, it builds your character if you ask me... but I can understand why people might want to have a 'saving slot' for 1 or 2 armatars they prefer or like to use every now and then... that would be a great way to provide some 'service' to the AG users!

Maybe worth exploring for implementation on the new AG version 3.0?!
