Holiday is defined as
a period in which a break is taken from work or studies for rest, travel
so why should holidays and this applies mainly to secondary and possibly tertiary students that holiday homework doesn't exist... if you give us a time away from school then why give us work to waste our time being antisocial inside on our desk wasting away

Sunday is the day of rest. Holidays are days of remembrance; they don't have to be rest days if the government authorizes it.

I totally agree. I never do any homework on Sunday at all. It is a day of rest for me, so I can relax and not have to be worried about any homework or has stress created from homework. It actually feels really good.

If the idea is to keep some of the information stuck in your brain it wouldn't work if you, like most students, do all the homework the first couple of days and then have the rest. Of the time to celebrate. This will make your time seem like alonger period but of course the information will seep out of your brain. The idea is to stretch the work out evenly so that the information can stay with you.
This is correct right?

Yes it is. However, many students don't really care about this, so they get it all done as fast as they can, or just don't do it. I like to spread out the work evenly so it doesn't overwhelm me, and because I like to try and keep the information in me.
