Realistically there is nothing fantastic about this at all. The guy got lucky. I'm sure that given enough time to determine the direction of the basket from your relative position and enough strength to get the ball the required distance just about anyone could make this shot eventually. What would be spectacular is if he could do it 66% of the time or more. Then I would be impressed.

I was actually decidedly unimpressed. Had it been based on skill and not luck I would have been, but it's obviously luck. If it was something which he could do on multiple occasions his friends and he would not have been so ecstatic. It is obvious from their reactions that it was an unexpected result, which proves that it was lucky.
