Well, I'd have to say either Vivaldi or Tcahikovsky as to classical, and for rock I'd say David Gilmour and Roger Waters. Metal, I s'ose I'd go with Jordan Rudess. There's no way to measure those folks against each other. Seriously.

They were actually both accomplished pianists, and well versed in many other instruments, which is what allowed them to understand what was needed to compose a proper piece.
Not to mention that Mozart was internationally recognized as a composer as well as a phenomenal pianist at the age of only 5. Seriously, who else can you name that is so good with their instrument that they tour the world at only 5 years old playing for royalty and other world-famous musicians?
