I'm interesting in watching this movie, as is other members of my family and friends. Anyone got a half decent review on the movie if you have seen it.
I've read some reviews and watched the previews, but reading opinionated thoughts on a community such as this one is better Your not trying to earn $50 by making it sound better than it really is
I havent seen it yet but my sister saw it two days ago and she says it was brilliant. And she doesnt normally like mainstream movies. She also said you have to give it a bit of time as its very complicated but once you do its amazing.
The movie is great one of the best movie made in this decade to me and assassin89 is right the movie i complicated but worth the watch so i suggest you go see it
Yeah, you have to pay attention to get it because it's not one of those "bash and whack" movies. I heard it took 10 years to come up with. But go see it because it's the best movie ever.
If you watch it, the most important part, to me, is that you should expect the following:
* A plot which convinces you, during screening, that it makes sense. * Then the more you think about it afterwards, the more it becomes clear to you that you don't really know what's going on. * Subsequent Inception obsession sets in and drives you nuts as you try to figure out how Nolan's "rules" fit in with his story.
In summary, the film is excellently crafted, in terms of what it sets out to do, and you'll know it's your kinda thing if you end up thinking that it was more than it initially appeared to be. It's not one of those arthouse classics that will go down forever in the canon of superior literature, but it doesn't exactly set out to do that. While it doesn't go out breaking the literary rules, it's all-round relatively fresh and slick at the same time, from the visuals, the execution of the action and the audio. If you have a weak heart I advise against watching this film, because it will be getting a real workout.
The only people I know who have disapproved of this film are, frankly, art wankers who think that all films should be as artsy as Pan's Labyrinth, or artistic wannabes who balked at the fact somebody was able to put this much creativity into a Hollywood blockbuster, thus shattering the illusion of their own alleged superiority or integrity. Oh, and people who don't like loud-as-crap action films that have a million things going on at the same time. But personally, from a creative perspective, I found it encouraging that somebody could make something decent in Hollywood, not to mention make a seemingly complicated plot so captivating to the public.
If I gave it a score, I'd give it 9.5/10. Go watch it.
Inception is one hell of a ride. Right from the start you're sucked into the action and then thrown all over the place as you try to figure out the line between reality and dream. Personally it is now one of my favourite movies and it is a must watch.
The acting is fantastic, the plot is multilayered; very comp[lex and creative but not overblown or melodramatic. I'm surprised it only has 87% on rottentomatoes.
Absolutely fantastic movie. It's the best movie, as far as I'm concerned, to come out since the Godfather. Very entertaining movie, the camera shots and special effects were mind blowing, the acting excellent, and just all around an amazing movie.
Great plot, amazing special effects, Di Caprio is a hell of an actor, Nolan is a hell of a director... I could list infinite reasons for a someone who haven't seen this great movie yet!
We saw it in the cinema. I really liked it, but my girlfriend didn't really. It's action-packed, has great special fx and brilliant actors. But also... quite predictable. I've seen many films and studied film, so I saw a lot of things coming. But I still loved it and will defo get it on DVD.
I loved this movie. I loved how it made you question whether everything was dream or reality. I loved the ending. I loved all the action. I loved the concept. So yeah. Basically, I loved it.
