This add-on has saved quite a bit for me in the way of forms, forums, texts for long posts on journal sites, et cetera.
The add-on also provides a way for those of us that miss a page or two in forums. All you have to do to recover your text is right click and accept the one you want.
Additionally, it saves quite a number of forms from your recent browser history past--and it does not disappear when you close the browser. The add-on memory is fantastic. I highly recommend this.
Or you could copy a long post you are about to submit before submitting, then you can paste if it doesn't work.
The point, mate, is also to save text if you accidentally hit an incorrect key and are directed away from the current page. Hitting the back button does not save text, but the Lazarus Add-On will.
Some of us actually post long responses to certain threads. This comes in handy for those who spend time on posts and think about things. I nearly punched my screen once when I hit the wrong key after writing a very long, very detailed DVD review for 'The Forsyte Saga' on Borders' website but ended up losing it entirely. I've still yet to go back and review the series. The add-on is great for that kind of thing, especially because crap happens, people fat finger or have a pet cat that does something or a child touches the keys... whatever it may be.
So, yes, the add-on is a better option. You won't have to use Notepad or remember to constantly copy the text to the clipboard.
