i saw some idiots on youtube say that song is a horrible hip hop song Well thats because it isnt a hip hop song he even says its a rap in the song itself
I don't even think it's that great of a song anyway, compared to other songs on the album, like Cold Wind Blows.
Definitely not, probably my least favourite on the album. Best in my opinion are Space Bound, Almost Famous, You're Never Over, Talkin' To Myself and Cinderella Man xD
I really don't like the new albums... I love some of his older work. Like "My dad's gone Crazy" "Without Me" "My Name Is" "Say Goodbye Hollywood" "The real Slim Shady" and "Till I collapse"
I hate that song. It seems like the rap and the guitar doesn't really fit for some reason.
I quite like that about it, but for Eminem you should focus more on the lyrics for most of his songs, that's what makes him great, he sings about his own life and not candy shops.. best example from Recovery, You're Never Over, dedicated to Proof
I've heard alot of people like Eminem because of good lyrics. Is that true? I've heard some songs from him aswell but I think it was something with "Shady".
He's got different styles and 'characters' Slim Shady, Eminem and Marshall Mathers (himself)
All sings in different style and about different subjects and I guess parts of his personality.
Slim Shady - fu*ked up basically, sings with odd accents and does completely random songs like We Made You, The Real Slim Shady, F.A.C.K etc
Marshall Mathers - Life story teller and father figure, Hayley's song, Mockingbird, Stan..
Eminem - 'Superstar' style songs, Toy Soldiers, Lose Yourself, Sing for the Moment.
"He's married to the game, like a f*ck you for christmas His gift is a curse"
Looked on the internet for the meaning of that lyric:
"A "F*ck You" for Christmas is a gift thatâs a curse; similarly, Eminem sometimes thinks of his "gift" (talent) for rapping as his cross to bear This is also a reference to the subtitle of Jay-Zâs album: The Blueprint 2: The Gift and the Curse"
Anyway, this song is mainly about him coming off the life of drugs, alcohol, rapping about it, the voices he does as 'Slim shady' and also he mentions that he's not paid attention to what his fans want and how they've supported him through all his difficult times so he will start to sing more of what they want to hear:
"And to the fans, I'll never let you down again, I'm back I promise to never go back on that promise, in fact Let's be honest, that last Relapse CD was "ehhhh" Perhaps I ran them accents into the ground Relax, I ain't going back to that now"
