There are going to be two judges for each competition. Each competition will be two weeks long. And the winner will receive a merit by Carlie. You cannot win twice.
Now all I need is to have two judges. First competition is going to start when I have two judges to judge the movies. Get Thinking!!!!

He just copied it from the previous thread. If you go to the first couple of pages, he didnt assume that there would be a merit. He said he was still waiting for Carlie.
Alright. Tennisman asked me to take over until he is back. I'm not sure if he already asked carlie, but if we won't be able to get a merit prize, then we'll just cut that out and continue the thread. I know, I know. Most of you guys did this all just for a merit. Just believe me, a merit is nothing but credit for a good post. You can be proud about earning it this way, or be respect, proud and famed for making a really good post elsewhere, that helps the community. A merit is nothing but just a word of credit. I can give you that for winning aswell

Maybe, but it's a word of credit from a mod, and it carries with it 25 AP. You can't give that. So your word of credit has less value. so :P

Personally, I think AP is least important of AG... But People will probally say otherwise. Yes, it's a word of credit from a mod. But do you think winning this contest and gaining a merit will give you credit from the judge(s) or the mod?
I dont see how this is going to work without the mods backing you up.
That is exactly what I meant. Is a merit so important? Tell me why. Why should a merit prize be running this thread, and not simply fun? What is so good about 1 single merit?

Realistically? It's credit from the judge. Mods just agree with the judge's decision and grant a merit. But merits are nice to have. They make people feel all warm and fuzzy.
The thing about the merit is competetion. Competetion is healthy and brings out the best in the human race, think about it with the competetion fromt he USSR to the USA would we still have the same space program today? Bringing a merit into it will assure everyone who takes it seriously will give a 110% effort just to say that they are better then another person plus they get to show it off with a fancy merit
