Make threads about yourself? I know you aren't supposed to make threads about yourself, but I thought it would be different with yourself. Yes you are a user, but its your choice right because its your life that you are going to be putting out there. It should be your choice whether or not you want to put your personal life out in a forum. Right? What do you think?
Threads are not supposed to be about specific users, however it seems to be allowable to talk about your own life. A lot of other users have made threads about problems in life, and no action was taken against them so...
Okay thanks Owen. I thought so I've seen a bunch of threads with people talking about themselves but I was never too sure. Well thanks anyways I guess.
If you really want breakup advice or something, you can get it, but you always have to know that we don't know every little detail and we base or reactions on the information you give to us, so don't blame us if we're wrong!:P
I assume you are requesting to get this locked, right? And to answer (most likely again): You are not technically allowed to post threads about yourself, because the topic should be something that can be discussed, and most issues can be made more general and thus fit the forums better (like instead of making a thread telling about your life, you could ask others to give their story too, or have them discuss a certain situation in life (like breakups)). A thread asking advice about break ups would work, and have done so more or less in the past, as more users could use the thread.
