I went to see the movie Inception with a few friends on Friday, and personally I thought it was a great movie. Some of my friends however, thought it was hard to follow, or just boring. So you tell me, what did you think?

Please don't post if you didn't see the movie, I don't care what reviews said. Thanks

Save your money it was a terrible movie. The acting was okay at best and the whole storyline was poor.

I thought it was pretty awesome. It could have explained everything a little more, but other than that, it was a kickass movie.

I have to laugh a little at the post by PossibleInstability. People who plan on posting generic things like mud89 should stay away from this topic please. Give reasons why the storyline was poor so others can get a real sense of why you thought that.

I liked it a lot. I thought the plot was great. There were times it got mildly confusing, but if you're paying attention you quickly catch up. Also, it leaves you thinking about what really went on in the movie. I don't want to go too far into anything for fear of spoilers, however.

I believe the ending could have multiple meanings.

He could still be stuck in the first dream and everything he thought was the real world could be his subconscious convincing him it's reality. As his dream wife said, "Do you really think nameless organizations constantly hounding you is actually reality?" - or something to that degree.

Maybe his wife WAS right and when she killed herself SHE was the one that awoke from the dream.

Notice that ONLY time he spun the top and it didn't stop was when he wasn't paying attention and didn't WANT it to stop.

Inception was amazing. But the ending was a cliff hanger, u don't know if it's going to all or not. So it could be a dream or it could be real. It's nice to believe it's real, though, right?

no because if it was a dream that would mean that the top wouldnt have bobbled. and it bobbled which mean it fell whicch meant it was reality

Glad that most people feel the way I do it seems, great storyline with great acting. Personally I enjoy the cliffhanger ending because it makes the movie stick with you for a little while longer while you think about what happened.

I don't think the top means anything. I think the entire movie was just Cob's dream, which would mean the top was created in his dream, and therefore whether it fell or not would mean nothing.

If you look back on the movie, a lot of the stuff that happened in "reality" doesn't make total sense. For example, Saito showing up at the exact right moment when he's being chased is really weird.

On top of that, we never find out how the dream machine works, and almost everything surrounding its usage is incredibly vague beyond the sedation and pressing the button. It's mentioned in the movie how it's not until you wake up from your dream that it seems weird.

Besides, what are the chances that not having seen his children in so long, they are in the exact same position and the exact same clothes?

I need to watch the movie again to really get everything now that I've formulated a theory, but I think it makes a lot of sense. Also, you guys should read the Edgar Allan Poe poem "A Dream Within A Dream" now that you've seen the movie.
