to all people who can make games (I dont know exactly how to adress you) I am a kid who aspires to make games when I grow up and I was just wondering, whats it like making games, just in general?
that and at the end of the day, is it really a career worth pursuing, I love playing video games and I know if I just get some menial cubicle job I can fund my hobby for the rest of my life, so I kind of need to know. I want to make games but Im also worried I wont be very good at it or that my ideas will just fall flat. I know most of you are indie developers but youre farther along then I am.so if you could just answer my question Id greatly appreciate it.
im not trying to flame or troll, but this will get much more attention from the programmers in the programming help section.if this offends you, i am sorry.
What Peepants McPologises Esquire said, only more harshly worded, but I would also like to tell you that if you really wanna turn a hobby into a career, you better love doing it more than anything else.
Well hello slive! Making games in general involves hard work. The thing that is really hard is- the computer has no Mind. YOur mission is to "create a mind for the computer" so you need programming. It involves lot of typing.
Still, I think you should continue pursuing your career
thanks to all of you who chose to answer my question and also I didnt think it would fit in the programming section because it didnt have anything to do with programming help
