Time to try this again...

I dont think P2P is wrong. It is the most amazing way to share info over the internet.

The community purges itself of false files and viruses, it also protects itself from imposters. I have found things I would never have found if not for the P2P network and also have things that would be too expensive, i.e. have to import them.

Perhaps there should be a limit to when things can be released like 5 years after publication or something similar.

Views and opinions please.

I love P2P it's great. You can find all kinds of things. You don't need to go find a website that will let you download a certain item. I usually find all kinds of odd or specific things I can't get elswhere.

Really good idea. And this way you can use bandwidth that isn't being used, instead of tying up a single server.

I think its the way forwards. The corps are waking up to this now and I suspect it will bloom within 10 years or so. After all, if you cant beat em... join em (never really agreed with that myself) and the companies will never beat the hackers. Its a red queen. Noone wins, just finds new ways of beating the next hack/protection.

One of the things Im mainly concerened about is peoples knowledge of the subject. Mine is fundemental at best. Most people are downright ignorant of the subject and tend to push a "downloading is illegal" bs with no thought.
