There is no real strategy to the game that I know, but there are some things that I have found effective:
- Choosing the race which is best suited to you (e.g. Elves for their ranged capabilities, The Undead for the halberd and close combat damage). - Use a race with an advantage in combat (e.g. Humans are stronger with swords, Undead with halberds, Elves with bows) then improve on that skill in the upgrades menu accordingly. - In combat, use a mix of scouts with your units to sneak past through enemy lines. - The scout strategy can be best used if you create a single line of strong units on the screen, then send the scouts on the other lines as the enemy is busy taking on the other lot.
- When you progress through the game, you will notice that the different races on the map become stronger after each battle. Do not be intimidated by this, find there weakness in their movements and exploit this, for example if they use a lot of mounted attackers then use a cluster of units with strong attacker e.g. halberdiers and battle axemen.
Well that is all that I know for now, but if you need more help or you have trouble understanding what I mean in my strategy then just post your question here or on my page. I'll be happy if I can help :-)
i use butterknife strategy: constantly spawn a cheap and somewhat strong unit down the middle lane (no range units) then when u get charge use it then keep sending more units down the middle and repeat till u win.... or die. i guess. also use the same unit u are already using for the charge to do this i would suggest halberder, swordsman, spearman.
what i do is just keep sending out small timer guys untill it get's to the last 5-3 cuz that dosen't worlk so what u need to do then is get some small times to try to hold them back so you can get all your good man reddy and when you get a good one out back him upp with 2 fcers so if he dies at lest one of then should make it.
oh wat i usually do is play undead and spam 4 halberds, then i spam about 6 swordsmen b/c the swordsmen run a bit faster and will eventually catch up to the halberders up front, and then i start spamming spear men(all in the same lane) until they all stack up into a pretty strong swordmen/halberd/spearman mosh. also i try attackin the territories with the higher percentages early on. That way i elminate the hardest territories early on and dont ever have to worrry about facing a 100% difficulty territory. Its worth it to take on th 50% difficulty early on b/c it is still somwhat easy rather then dealing with the pain in the ass 100% difficulty later on.
Yup just put it all in one lane and pound away. I found that the javelin throwers are pretty deadly in a group due to high fire rate and relativly quick spawn rate.
Javelin throwers are great but they take so long to make so i dont use em as much. btw if you ever are faced wiht trolls in your one lane army its nice to have a backup plan of spamming spearmen (or scouts if you have it) in all the other lines to get across quickly and try and get the win that way. Troll are a pain in the butt to deal with as well and its more cost effiecient to avoid them and just to go head on wiht trolls.
Playing with trolls is awesome tho just do the halberd/sword/spear thing and then charge with trolls!
To beat the Scythe Whirler use ranged units while keeping the Whirler busy. Mounted Units are good for this but if you want a better strategy tell me your Race.
