Well we were actually talking about this the other day on the xat chat(I knew about it months ago though because the writer of another web comic I read suggested it on his site). Regardless there are a few possible differences here. The first I have to point out is that as someone has already pointed out Dr. McNinja is most likely human as opposed to a horse(you never know whats under that mask so lets just assume its human). Second his medical profession may be different. I don't know what Strop's field is, but something tells me he is not a podiatrist who for some reason does dental work(Source). The last point I have to make is that Dr. McNinja according to the info at the top near the home page button says that he lives in Maryland, where as Strop claims to live in Australia. If you forget about all of this then sure it does seem to be based off of Strop though, and is a very interesting coincidence. Now all we need is someone who is both a cop and an axe murderer/lumberjack I suppose.
...that I'm not the only ninja doctor around ;_; But by gosh, I'm the only ninja doctor HORSE around bwahahahahahahaha. Take that, inclusive rhetoric! (Note the existence of a doctor rat, but he's not a ninja. His dentist wife however, is a taekwondo instructor, but now I'm running off on a tangent...)
