Between the ages of 5-7 I went through a phase of wanting to be referred to as Nathaniel. I decided on Nathaniel because I was a very conformist child. Once when I was camping with my family I heard a disgruntled mother yelling at her son Nathaniel. He sounded like the kind of buck-against-the-machine rebel that I aspired to.
