heard that there are too many gangs in California for you to be happy, butI don't know.

Mainly just the southern part of california. The northern-middle parts kinda nice.

That would be the single easiest job in the world.

ha you would think. You may not spend much time putting out fire, but alaska firefighting i would guess is mainly medical/search and reascue missions in the wilderness, etc. But i would guess the scenery pays off for all the gross things you see on the job haha.

Yeah especially when it comes to L.A. and some of the bad parts of California.

Yeah just give me a list of preferable places.

Not many gangs in Merced that I know of. Worst crime there is cow-tipping.

Huh, you realize that Oakland is in the northern-middle parts...

Doesn't Alaska have any laws at all against going on random hikes in the middle of nowhere?

Apparently not, I think the cold make them crazy. Polar bears don't exist, it's just the snow playing tricks on your mind

You gain nothing from cow-tipping, except a side of beef.

You have no idea how hard I just laughed at my little joke.

I suggest they put up some kind of barrier between civilization and Alaska so that people don't wander off into nowhere and wake up dead the next day.

I have no idea whether we do or not. It's irrelevant, because there's no way such a law would be enforceable. It's kind of a big state... And we totally have fires? Many people still have woodburning stoves. And live in wood houses. In forests... figure it out.

Personally, I don't want to settle anywhere. Just keep moving around. About to make the jump to Maine in a few weeks.

I don't know yet. I've lived in California, Alaska and Texas. Each have good and bad points about them. By far I love Texas more than anywhere I've lived. I know I'll be moving to Nebraska for school in a few years, I can't wait to see what will come of that. I would love to get out of this miserable humidity and heat though, so somewhere up north would be nice.

But there's so much freaking snow!!

It will not get very far, but I'm still pretty sure the whole house might burn down, if there were to be an accident, and that's all that needs to happen for the Firefighters to come out.

If I had a successful career with much money and family, I would probably see myself living close to my family, in the US or some tropical paradise where I/we could live alone...

I don't see myself still living in Sweden, not even in 10 years.
Might even move to Denmark. :S
