alright guys time for some quallity football talk.

what do you guys think about brett favre and his current "retirement"

brett favre is easily the greatest QB of all time, with over 16000 passing yards and 286 starts.

i honestly think that hell change his mind and play another season wether its this one or next one. we all know and he knows he wants one more super bowl, or atleast to go to one. especially since he got so close last year

This probably belongs in the Tavern first off.

Now about Favre. I don't think that he will retire, I think that an injury is what is going to take him out of football for good. Plus, for the last three years he said he'll retire, and didn't. I don't expect him to announce that he's playing until after Viking's training camp ends.

I was a fan of Brett being a fan of the Packers and living in wisconsin close to Green Bay and personally watching the vikings have to deal with this is hilarious. lol retiring.

Retiring but dosen't affect my fantasy team cause I have Eli on my bench.
And big Ben when he comes back from his suspension. It would be nice if he came back for the first game and then called it quits to get 500 touchdowns. He could though if the Vikings get to the Playoffs come back for that and it wouldn't hurt his stats.

Your fantasy team is going to suck. You heard it from me.

I guess I'll bump this thread, but I think it's kinda funny that he keeps retiring and un-retiring, but it's kind of ridiculous. If he wants to keep playing the game he shouldn't make a drama out of it. He should retire because his ankle is still healing, and the season is coming close.

I find it hilarious. But it doesn't really matter. He's too old for it nowadays anyways. If he does come back, I highly doubt that he'll play another season after this next one. He's going to end up breaking something important eventually.

Really?

First team:
QB Matt Schaub
QB Eli Manning
WR Larry Fitzgerald
WR Chad Ochocinco
WR Pierre Garcon
RB Adrian Peterson
RB Ricky Williams
TE Antonio Gates
BN Brett Favre
BN Malcom Floyd
BN Thomas Jones
BN Todd Heap
BN Ben Roethlisberger
K Nate Kaeding
DEF Philadelphia
BN Green Bay

Recent trade I did to get Big Ben and Garcon, and yes I know big bens gone but hes a good add.

Dez Bryant
Alex Smith
for
Pierre Garcon
Ben Rothlisberger.

Experts say Alex will have big season, I doubt it. I'd take Big Ben second half vs. That.

My Other team, I had 3rd pick. Luckly Fry and I were the only ones not autopicking.

QB Matt Schaub
QB Tom Brady
WR Andre Johnson
WR Randy Moss
WR Robert Meachem
RB Ryan Mathews
RB Ryan Grant
TE Jason Witten
W/T Kellen Winslow
BN Austin Collie
BN Ben Roethlisberger
BN Jerome Harrison
K David Akers
BN Jeff Reed
DEF Minnesota
BN Baltimore
BN New Orleans

Nvm lol. I didn't see your whole team, you just said you had Eli Manning as a backup to Favre, and I assumed it was bad.

Back on topic, I think that Brett Favre made his decision to retire by using a Magic 8 ball. No kidding.

He says it depends on the doctors saying of his ankle. We all know if he shouldn't and he does the Saints are going to do a roughing the passer call again and end his playing for good.
