There is a Gun & Sword thread, indeed this is true, asking your favorite gun or Sword.

This is for you to post what you own. Simple.

I have a Franklin Mint Knife, our family has had 5 black Labradors and we got our 6th one, two years ago so this knife i really love. And also has a special place in my Cars glove-box......No need to ask why

I also have these:

The full set.

Also a wooden finish version where the hilt has silver snakes curled round it and embroided in to the case.

I also have found this in a shop locally (close to it), it's 350 euros but i put a reserve down on it

I love swords and anything shiny.

I'm also looking in to a Gun license in Cyprus, every other store can supply you with a high load of weaponry over here.

These are the sort of guns i have seen and am ambitious in buying;

Hunting Rifle

Remington Shotgun 870. All thanks to Modern Warfare really, i saw one similar to this in the Hunting store over here and fell in love with it

Also a handgun, along the lines of a Glock 17:

Why do i want a gun? To make my dick feel bigger? No, coming from around 15-18 generations of high ranking superiors in the Army & RAF, it sort of comes natural i guess, the whole idea of loading off down the shooting range when you have one of those days sounds so interesting.

Anyone else got any weaponry in there homes or wanting to purchase any weaponry?

I love being an American I have several firearms, a Sig p229 chambered for the .40 S&W, a Remington 700 chambered in .30-06, a Remington 870 Express chambered in 12ga. My next firearm is going to be a Kimber Arms ProTac or SuperCarry in the .45 ACP. I also have quite a few knives (couple of butterfly knives, a few folders, and a few fixed blades) and a hand made wakizashi/tanto set from japan that my uncle bought for me.

Do you allow the children anywhere near all of this?

If you do, do you teach them they are not a toy but a dangerous weapon, or do you teach them to hold it to the side and rob the liquor store for you when your thirsty?

The firearms my oldest has handled my sidearm, not loaded of course, and she's nearly 7. She lives with her mother though so I don't see her as often as I'd like. My two youngest, who live with me, don't go near them although they have seen me cleaning them. They know they are dangerous and not to touch. The knives as well, they've seen them but don't go near them, and I keep everything away from them.

The rifle is in my closet locked in its case when I'm not going hunting, the shotgun is under the bed in a case, the tube loaded but no round chambered, and the sidearm stays with me or on my desk during the day and at night is on my nightstand in its holster. That one ALWAYS has a round chambered and is in its holster so it is never within reach of anyone but me or my wife.

Your either a drug baron or it sounds as if you have REALLY pissed someone off.

In America side arms and an arsenal of weapons is nothing out of the ordinary, where as in Europe seeing a knife makes your gut wrench. I guess it is where Europeans are hidden away from the 'darker' side to life.

without having to go in to, too much personal detail do you keep the sidearm with you for Protection from someone? Did your counseling turn up some bad eggs?

Or do you keep it with you just to be on the safe side of life?

Neither really. I just like having it. I have my concealed weapon permit so I always have it on me when I go out. I just always keep it loaded and I prefer to have it with me so that A)if I need it it's there. And B)so I don't have a loaded gun near me that isn't under my control. I also don't live in the best neighborhood, but it's not too bad. It's one of those 'better have it and not need it than need it and not have it' type things I guess.

I made a mistake , It's called a Khukuri. It's a type of knife.

Actually both names are correct Holden. It's classified sometimes as a knife, sometimes as a machete. A lot of history behind them as well. You should research them some time, very interesting.

I plan on buying a sword, probably a rapier. Maybe a falcata. And I'd also like to have a movie sword from LoTR, probably an elven longsword:

Isn't that, like, everywhere in the world except in America?

Because, Poncho was a bandit boy, his horse was fast as polished steel. He wore his gun outside his pants, for all the honest world to feel. Poncho met his match, you know, on the deserts down in Mexico. Nobody heard his dyin word, but that's the way it goes. All the Federales, they say, They could have had him any day. They only let him slip away Out of kindness I suppose. Lefty he can't sing the blues, all night long like he used to. The dust that Poncho bit down south, ended up in Lefty's mouth. The day they lay poor Poncho low, Lefty split for Ohio Where he got the bread to go, there ain't nobody knows.

Not sure how many others here know that song Leg. You are in an audience that's probably too young for that.
