What I'm wondering is why it can't just be called "Exbawks 3"

i think they are scratching that idea and making a super small one like the 360 my friend that works with MLG(major league gaming) said its probably going to be about 1000$ as the will be a wireless adapter and it wll be really small so therefore it will cost a ton of cash.

probably not soon i mean there still coming out with new crap to expand the ps3 and xbox lifespand if anything it would come out in 2012 or 2013 to be honest i dont see how much more they could upgrade graphics or sound they should just focus on virtual reality that makes you seem like your moving around the actual game enviorment like in jason x where you see the 2 guys running around killing dinosaur things

Microsoft haven't Confirmed they are making Xbox 720 , Yet.

they are milking the 360 as much a they can, and until microsoft and sony find some break through tech, i wouldnt expect a new xbox or playstation anytime soon.

Xbox & Sony both have the most up to date console available without creating something which is only going to put them out of pocket.

the whole reason for Xbox 360 is because it was a revolution in gaming. hence 360, one full circle. got it?

So the next Xbox would not be anything along the lines of 720 or 1337.


As far as the next one arriving any time soon.

With the Xbox Slim (although it is worse than the Xbox Elite) & the new kinetic around the corner which is taking everything Wii has and putting it on the Xbox.

It won't NEED a new console for another 3-4 years MINIMUM.

Also you need to remember that Microsoft have the best, cost efficient graphics around. Which means 95% of all Game designers go through the Xbox console as the default device, and then convert the gaming code to work with other consoles, which is why Xbox always has optimum graphics. So the games will only ever flow with the Xbox, once game designers start putting in their two cents, that the games are now at Optimum standard and any more games produced won't be any different then Xbox put in a new updated console with better graphics than Sony has now at a cheaper cost.

Xbox is gaming, i'm a sony man through and through, but come to Computers & Gaming Consoles, Microsoft have grabbed on to the ball and won't be letting go to no competition.
Not only that but it would not surprise me if Bill Gates had shares in all Console companies, sony, nintendo etc.
He already owns 10% of Apple, then again Apple owns 10% of Microsoft. Which is brilliant business ethics if you ask me
Why was that relevant? Designing a new console is killing your competition, if Bill Gates has shares in other companies, although he has no real say in it, he wants to milk them for everything hes got. Bringing out a new console is a big No-no, certainly in the economical crisis everyone seems to believe we are out of.
