There have been reports that the black plague is again in the streets of the world. Apparently a 14 year old has died. I thought this was a dead disease.. But what would happen if it spread again like it did back in the medieval ages? And why do you think it just resurfaced now?

Had Swine flu been more deadly

It wasn't, and wouldn't be.

Diseases nowadays aren't likely to become apocalyptic. With the exception of a possible bird flu mutation, we won't be dying anytime soon.

Plague is nothing. It's mince meat. Any sane person can get it treated in time, and they wouldn't die. Anyone who dies, is either already ill, or retarded.

The bubonic plague can easily be treated with modern antibiotics if it's caught in time.
