Ok, so I was playing The Beatles: Rock Band today to try and get some achievements, when i realised that Ringo is a really good singer in such songs as Yellow Submarine (my father's favorite) and I Wanna Be Your Man.
Later on, i was on playlist.com when i came about some Phil collins songs.
And still later on (I had a long, uneventful day) I heard Hatredcopter by Dethklok, featuring Pickles the Drummer with vocals.
Is this a pattern? should drummers be allowed to sing more?
Ringo's lead vocals in "I Wanna Be Your Man"
Phil Collins singing "In The Air Tonight"
Nathan Explosion (black hair) and Pickles The Drummer (red head) riding the "Hatredcopter"
lol well pickles isnt real and the guy who does his stuff does all the other stuff as well so dont count him.
and ya its not very uncommon, we have people today that do vocals for bands, like atreyu, sum 41 has some features, idk if you could count dave groll or not.
and its freaking phill collens, never EVER quetion the greatest song writer of all time.
The first thing I thought of when I saw this thread was Jimmy Marinos of the Romantics. He sang in "What I Like About You", which, at this point, is probably their most famous song. I'm not sure if he sang on any other of the groups' hits, though, so this might have been a very unusual thing for the Romantics.
It took you all the way until now to realize to realize Phil Collins was a good singer. :/ Anyway, Taylor Hawkins is a good singer. He's only sang lead on one of their songs, but it is great (Ernie, I want you to hear this). Here's the link:
