Teams: In this competition we will start with 2 teams of 8. Everyone will write about a subject. I will then judge each entry. When your team loses you vote off 2 people from your team. Scoring: I judge on a scale from 1 to 10. After all scores are added up, the team with the lower score will lose. I will show all individual scores. The Literature Games: Once 8 people are left in the competition, you fight 1v1v1v1, in a huge arena. I will give you a basic description of the arena, and then you write about killing all the competitors in the arena. You get to choose 1 weapon to start with. This is called the Literature Games (Yes like the hunger games.) One person will survive, then you fight the winner of the other Games. The Finale: You fight 1v1 with special powers and again one weapon of choice. Both entries are mutated so that it takes very much to kill. You will have to write about that. You also have to write about training, which is 3 days long. Again you will fight in an arena, which will be given to you.

Escaping an island that has started to set on fire on the far side. You have no supplies but what is on the island. The fire will cover the whole island in about a week.
I better not use my AG char then LAWL. Or maybe I could... To be honest, I don't like the idea for this round, it's not very imaginative. jdogg, you really should give us information about our characters at least.
I agree with Jess...the amount of info we have been given is quite small...
How big is the island? Is it tropical, desert, rocky, lucious etc? What is nearby the island - are there any other islands? Are there wild animals on the island or in the ocean? Can the fire be avoided or stopped? Does the fire go out after it has burnt an area?
I guess that's all for us figure out guys...It's the point of it all. With such generic information he ensures our submission are all somewhat different and original...
i think he left the topic very open on purpose so we wouldn't all be writing the same paper. we will all have a different look on things now that everything isn't set in stone
I'm still confused about the "fighting" part of this literature fight. I was hoping for more information to get us started. As I understand the rules from the OP we are to fight each other in order to get off of the island, right?

I think that is in the finals. we are all just writing stories that will be rated on a scale of 1-10, then the team with the lowest score has to vote 2 people off, until there are 4 people left. THEN we fight each other
How am I supposed to decide for myself? Seeing as this is a team effort, we all need to be on the same page. Also, are we using our regular selves, or fictional alter-egos?
Not really. You can write about anyone, it can be any genre, just stay with the theme. All you have is the supplies you can get from the island. Decide what you could make from an island. Try to be unique. =)
And if you were living there, all your stuff would be made of would, you wood have canoes as boats, and like log homes for buildings. So if you make a populated island please make it like Native Americans.
