I believe it has been blocked because one too many users decided it was a good idea to post that link on many people's profiles and told them to click on it.

It's about time this was done. If I didn't utilize my status bar, I wouldn't have clicked any links on profiles ever. I wouldn't've been willing to take the risk. :P

That status bar has saved my life so many times it's unbelievable.

FT's link is a tinyurl link. If you had a status bar and used it, you could have seen that.
