Computer studies of ocean floors around the world, particularly the area known as The Bermuda Triangle, reveal evidence of massive methane explosions in the past. For years, believers in the paranormal, aliens, and other outlandish theories pointed to the the disappearance of ships and aircraft as an indicator of mysterious forces at work in the âDevilâs triangle.â Scientists have finally pointed the rest of us to a more plausible cause.
The presence of methane hydrates indicates enormous eruptions of methane bubbles that would swamp a ship, and projected high into the air- take out flying airplanes, as well.
Any ships caught within the methane mega-bubble immediately lose all buoyancy and sink to the bottom of the ocean. If the bubbles are big enough and possess a high enough density they can also knock aircraft out of the sky with little or no warning. Aircraft falling victim to these methane bubbles will lose their engines-perhaps igniting the methane surrounding them-and immediately lose their lift as well, ending their flights by diving into the ocean and swiftly plummeting.
I have heard that, however it fails to explain some of the missing ships and planes. Some have radioed in that they their navigation gear failed, many of such occurrences would have required strong magnetic fields to do so.
I was going to say the same thing as Moe, aren't there loads of stories about people making it but saying that the equipment and radars failed around that area? And also, what about all the boats and planes that missed these eruptions? There must have been witnesses who saw it happening from afar?
still, this doesn't solve anything about the boats found aflout without anybody on them (IE: one of them still had warm food set out on it. just saying.)
Also, I don't think flight 17 should be that much of a mystery. they got lost, and ran out of fuel. sure, the recon plane just falling out of the sky afterword was strange, but there is plenty of good theorys, such as someone was smoking and the fuel tank exploded.
The strong amount of Methane at the bottom of the Ocean probably shut downs all the electrical current. So no motors, radars, or black boxes can be found. Though every missing thing is probably in the bottom of the Ocean, but no one found it because they will get lost in it too...
Yeah, I saw a show about this a while back. My dad knew a guy when he lived in Florida who would boat over to Cuba to buy liquor untaxed, and he almost went into a patch of the hydrate-inundated water. The water's surface gets all glassy, and the buoyancy just disappears.
The sad thing is that those methane hydrates would provide us with unspeakable amounts of energy - but we have no way to extract it.
