and i have another post. currently up at the moment. do not get reach it is a side game and has nothing to do with the storyline. bungie is signing rights over to activision and then a group called 343 will be made. in a couple years it will make halo 4, i will advise you to get dread rising 2. it has a singleplayer and you could play for months without loosing intrest or get black ops if you get live
the wii is a backwards piece of hardware that utilizes mini-games and horrible story lines with no voice acting melded with bad graphics and cheesy gameplay to achieve buyers. the controls are glitchy, the mii's are less customizable than Xbox360 avatars, and fps' are basically unplayable.
on to topic, the Xbox is WAY better for gaming. with such a powerful online community, achievements, party chat (not in ps3), Halo, easy-to-access menus, the Xbox should really be your only choice. I suggest getting the limited edition Reach console, it comes with Halo: Reach, makes Halo noises when you turn it on, and is a custom silver color! it also comes with wi-fi and wireless controllers.
PS3 has higher definition graphics (graphics themselves depend on the aptitude of a developer), free online, and looks set to outplay the Xbox360 in online soon anyway (these days, they're grabbing most of the exclusives). Not to mention very, very little chance of hardware failure (about 0.35% compared to the Xbox360's 60%. Yes, 60%) and the new version looks prettier then the Xbox slim anyway.
So yeah, go PS3, they intend to support it for another 6 years anyway.
